Get read for game day or head to your next tailgate party with these great instant post recipes! Instant Pot makes it easy to cook up a delicious meal in a short amount of time. We have gathered 45 of the greatest game day and tailgating Instant Pot Recipes to help you plan your next party menu!

You already know how much we love our Instant Pot (this is the one we have). We make Instant Pot dinners and Instant Pot breakfastsand even Instant Pot Desserts. Also in our collection of Instant Pot recipes are Weight Watchers Instant Pot meals and Paleo Instant Pot Meals as we attempt to find gluten and dairy free recipes for Bob’s dietary restrictions. We typically use our Instant Pot a minimum of 2 nights every week for dinner. The thing that I like the most about the IP is how quickly it cooks the food (on pressure cooker mode), yet you don’t lose any flavor or quality. Quite the contrary, actually. The meals that we have had in the Instant Pot have come out savory and packed full of flavor.

Last year, I suggested taking our Instant Pot on our big Yellowstone road trip and at first, I’m pretty sure Bob thought I was nuts. We already had a crock pot, electric griddle and a toaster oven in the camper and he was pretty sure we didn’t need one more appliance in the cupboards. I was pretty sure he was WRONG as I suggested that with an Instant Pot, we could have a delicious home cooked meal after a long day of driving that would cook while we unhitched the camper. He gave in and after our first night on the road and one very delicious Instant Pot pot roast, we both agreed that the IP was going to be a camper staple!

For this newest installment of Instant Pot recipes, I turned to our frequent parties and tailgates and have collected many favorite game day dishes, in various varieties. These would work well for parties and sporting events. (Professional or even at your kids’ events – we love a good horse show tailgate!).

FAQs

What should I make first in my new Instant Pot? ›

When it comes to breaking your Instant Pot in, it's a good idea to start with some basic foods and simple meals you're already familiar with, then slowly expand your Instant Pot repertoire from there. Try making staples like eggs, sweet potatoes, rice, or lentils using just the pressure cooker function.

Does Instant Pot reduce cooking time? ›

Most things cook (at least) 60–70% faster in a pressure cooker than when using any other type of cooking. That doesn't count the prep time of course, or any time the oven, pot, or pressure cooker takes to come to temperature for the food to start real “cooking” though, or “resting” time in the pot for some foods.

What size Instant Pot is best for meal prep? ›

Generally, a meal cooked in a 6-quart model feeds three to six people. Benefits of an 8-quart Instant Pot: The 8-quart models, on the other hand, are ideal when you're feeding a large family, cooking for a party, or cooking in batches for your weekly meal prep.

How much food can you put in an Instant Pot? ›

Also, an overly-full Instant Pot can lead to a clogged pressure release knob, because food and liquid can get sucked up inside. To stay on the safe side, don't fill your pot over that two-thirds line, and stay below half full for foods that expand while cooking, such as beans and lentils.

How long do Instant Pots last? ›

The average lifespan of an Instant Pot ranges from 2-5 years, but it can last longer depending on how often it's used and how well-maintained it is. So it's safe to say Instant Pots aren't commonly being replaced, and may even be a one-time purchase.

Why does Instapot say burn food? ›

The Instant Pot's burn message simply means that your Instant Pot has detected that its inner pot has gotten too hot. There may be a slight amount of burned food at the bottom of your pot, but not enough to ruin whatever you're cooking.

How much time does pressure cooking reduce? ›

Pressure cookers prepare food up to 70 percent faster than the oven or stovetop. Because of the high heat and short cooking time, pressure-cooked food retains more vitamins and nutrients compared to other cooking methods.

Why does a pressure cooker reduce cooking time? ›

Because under pressure, the heat builds faster and maintains temperature better, so cooking time is reduced. ... The increased pressure inside the cooker increases the boiling point of water above 1000C so more cooking is done before the water actually starts to boil. So ultimately food is cooked faster.

How much cooking time does a pressure cooker save? ›

1. You'll save time. You can cook your food up to 10 times faster than other methods such as steaming, boiling, braising or simmering. Using a pressure cooker, you can whip up hot pots, risottos, soups, tagines, casseroles and even desserts in 20 minutes or less (check out our 3-Minute Fried Rice, below)!

How long does a pressure cooker reduce cooking time? ›

Pressure cookers combine high pressure and high heat, which dramatically reduces cooking time. Beans cooked in a pressure cooker will cook in about one-third of the time it takes to cook beans on the stove.
