Thursday until Friday JIM BRYAN BRYANT WILLIAMSON INCOME TAX SERVICE 335 No. 27th 435-4373 Individual Returns Farm Returns Partnership Corp. Call for Appointment Requests considered for limousine service By Diane Carroll A bit of luxury may return to Lincoln, if the Nebraska Public Service Commission grants elther or both of two requests to begin limousine service. That kind of car rental option has not been available in Lincoln since 1976. A joint application to begin the Nebraska Limousine Service was filed by Fred Webster, realtor with Woods Brothers Realty, and Daniel Hurlburt, owner of Brokers Agency.

The second request is from Phil Durst, owner of Metro Auto Sales, who wants to start Limousine of Lincoln. The commission is expected to act on the first application within about two weeks; the second should be through official channels in about two months. Spokesmen for both potential businesses said they could open as soon as they received authority to do so. Webster and Hurlburt have bought three Cadillacs for the business, which they plan to operate out of Brokers Agency, 3325 A St. Durst would have one Cadillac available to rent.

He would operate out of Metro Auto Sales, 2504 St. Both companies would offer rental service to the public by appointment only. Most often, Webster and Durst said, the cars probably would be rented by wedding parties, rock groups performing in Lincoln, conventiongoers, or persons looking for a big night out. Webster and Hurlburt have proposed charging a minimum fee of $25 an hour for a car driver, with an extra 15 cents mile outside Lancaster County. The flat fee for sixhour rental would be $100; 12- hour rental would be $175.

Durst has not yet proposed a rate structure. Three persons charged in grain theft ring case ATCHISON, Kan. (AP) Officials of a Lincoln Grain Inc. elevator here say they're continuing efforts to determine losses from a grain theft ring in which three persons have been charged in the alleged conspiracy. An elevator scale operator and two St.

Joseph, grain dealers remained free on bond Thursday after being charged in connection with the theft of grain from the elevator. There was no estimate of the amount of grain stolen, but a Kansas Bureau of Investigation agent said the loss involved thousands of dollars worth of grain. the company, said he could not place a dollar amount on the loss. "We're attempting to quantify that right now. Federal warehouse examiners from Omaha were at the facility last week and their work has been completed," Cartmill said. KBI Agent Jim McCubbin said the thefts involved a conspiracy in which receipts were issued for grain that was never left at the elevator and fraudulent scale tickets were issued. "At this time we don't anticipate any more arrests," McCubbin said.

He said an investigation of the theft ring began in September and covers the past two or three years. PORTS MEAN MORE FOR YOUR MONEY! You don't have to be BIG to be GOOD!
